Egyptian striker Mido has returned to his homeland and joined Zamalek on a short-term loan deal.

The 27-year-old recently returned to Middlesbrough amid some confusion as to who actually owned him.

Having been let go by Ajax, he spent time training with Boro in an effort to maintain his fitness.

He is now on the move again, with Zamalek snapping him up until the end of the season.

The move will allow him to see out the final few months of his four-year contract with Boro.
