The Senegal international was tipped to be on the move in January, having outgrown current employers Jaraaf de Dakar.
He undertook a trial spell with Auxerre in September 2011, during which the French outfit took up the option of a six-month priority period in which to negotiate a deal.
They have now opted to make their move, with it reported that Fall will pen a four-and-a-half-year contract upon his arrival.
"It's done. Dieylani Fall has signed a contract with AJ Auxerre and I'm happy to announce it," the 21-year-old's representative Thierno Seydi was quoted as saying by APS.
Fall played an instrumental role for Jaaraf in their 2010 title-winning campaign, with his exploits in his homeland having helped to raise his profile around the world.
He will now be hoping to follow in the footsteps of Mame Biram Diouf, Henri Camara and Papa Bouba Diop, who have all enjoyed productive careers in Europe after learning their trade at Jaaraf.
