Gamba Osaka midfielder Takashi Usami has agreed to join Bayern Munich in the summer, according to a report in German newspaper TZ.
The 19-year-old has caught the eye of the German giants ever since joining the Gamba Osaka senior ranks and has developed into one of the hottest prospect in Japanese football.
Apparently, Bayern are not the only club interested in the Japan starlet, with Schalke 04, Bayer Leverkusen and Sporting Lisbon all reportedly hot on the heels of Usami.
However, the Bavarians have won the battle for his signature as Usami has made up his mind to move to the Alianz Arena.
Reports claim the teenager will link up with Bayern in mid-July although the specifics of the deal have not been confirmed.
Sources in Germany have claimed Bayern will sign Usami on a season-long deal, with a view to buy the player at the end of the spell for a fee in the region of €1.5-€3.5 million.
